Ramon Lapayese

Ramon Lapayese was a celebrated Spanish painter and sculptor who studied in Barcelona, Rome, and Paris. He spent his most prolific and significant years in Madrid (from 1963 to 1984), where he produced a large body of work that was exhibited worldwide. Lapayese had countless exhibitions, including exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Madrid; Prado Gallery, Madrid; Kreisler Gallery, Madrid; Norval Gallery, New York; and the Museum of Modern Art, Bilbao. He died in Miami, Florida in 1994.
