Pedro Bueno Villarejo studied at Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid. Pedro Bueno regularly participated in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts (Exposiciones Nacionales de Bellas Artes), winning awards in the 1940s and '50s. He held his first solo exhibition at Galeria Biosca in Madrid in 1944. He also participated in important exhibitions such as the Salón de los Once, the Exposiciones de la Academia Breve de la Crítica de Arte, and Joven Escuela Madrileña (an exhibition of young artists from Madrid who were devoted to traditional painting techniques). In 1974 he was named an Academic by Real Academia de Ciencias, Bellas Artes y Letras de Córdoba, and in 1982 was awarded the Gold Medal for Mérito del Trabajo by the Spanish government, and in 1985 he received the "Master de Popularidad".
