Kenneth Young

Kenneth Victor Young was associated with the Washington Color School during the 1960s and 1970s. He had a solo exhibition at the Franz Bader Gallery in Washington, D.C. in 1969 and a solo exhibition at Fisk University in 1973 and his paintings have also been included in exhibitions at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Corocoran Gallery and the Washington Project for the Arts. One of Kenneth Young's paintings, currently in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum was recently included in the Smithsonian's African-American Art, Harlem Renaissance, Civil Rights and Beyond.
