1912-2005
Chen Chi
was born in China and studied in Shanghai before emigrating to
the United States in 1947. He became a highly respected, award-winning
watercolor painter. He exhibited his work at the Metropolitan
Museum of Art, the National Academy of Design, the American Watercolor
Society (winning the Watercolor of the Year Award in 1955), the
Corcoran Gallery, and the Grand Central Art Galleries. His work
is in many major public and private collections.
