Churchill Ettinger

Churchill Ettinger was a renowned sporting artist who studied at the National Academy of Design, the Art Students League, and the New York School of Industrial Art. Ettinger was a pulp magazine illustrator in the forties before becoming a well-known sporting and wildlife artist. He moved to Vermont in the 1950s where he was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. His etchings and paintings are in numerous museums including the Library of Congress, Yale University, Dartmouth College, and many others. Labels from a frame shop in Shoreham, Vermont (dated 1962) and the Summer Gallery in Manchester, Vermont are afixed verso.
